We haven't caught the kids's new rolling trick on video yet. But we did capture a bit of their play time yesterday. As you'll see, they're starting to realize that those hand things that have been bumping them in the face for the past three-and-a-half months are actually attached to them and they can be controlled with some really intense concentration.

Now we're rolling!
Last Thursday, Max surprised us by demonstrating that he knows how to roll over. We didn't see it coming at all because he hadn't been showing much interest in trying to move himself in any particular direction. We were sure that Grace was going to be first to start reaching physical milestones since she's consistently demonstrated the powerful combination of physical strength and strength of will. I think Max got tired of hearing us tell everyone that Grace was going to beat him to the punch and so felt the need to prove us wrong. But not to be outdone, two days later, Grace rolled over a couple times too.

Twin doings
Grace and Max are still spending the bulk of their time sleeping, but we did recently capture one of their conversations; it seems pretty innocuous, but we suspect they're plotting something serious. Mom clearly thought she turned the camera off before she actually did. Whoops!

We're two months old!
Two months old today and growing strong!
We've started wooing Mom & Dad with some smiles that haven't yet been captured on film. But once our folks catch them, we'll have them share the shots here.
Ta-ta for now!

Max & Grace's first 6 weeks
Most followers of this blog probably know that our babies - the Dedrick-Gorman twins - arrived on November 21, 2013.
Maxwell Robert arrived at 3:36 p.m. weighing in at 4 lbs. 15 oz. and measuring 19.25 inches.
Grace Riley came racing right after at 3:46 p.m. She weighed in at 6 lb. 2 oz. and measuring 19.5 inches long.
When they met their dad, he looked like this:
. . . not because any surgery was involved in their arrival, but because the hospital where we delivered requires all multiple births to occur in the operating room just in case emergency surgery becomes necessary.
At first, Max & Grace spent a lot of time snuggling and getting to know Mom & Dad.
They also got to spend a bunch of quality time at the hospital with their Great Aunt Jean
After Max & Grace went home from the hospital, life got really busy. They met their Aunt Sarah and cousin Hannah,
had a visit from Aunt Becky,
met Grandpa G,
started taking regular walks,
learned how to make the cat jealous,
and developed a habit of striking really cute poses for pictures.
They also celebrated their first Thanksgiving,
and were almost mistakenly eaten by their sleep-deprived parents.
Luckily Aunt Sarah & cousin Hannah rescued Max & Grace by directing Mom & Dad to the actual turkey they intended to eat.
And this was all in the first two weeks they were alive!
In the weeks that followed, Max & Grace got visits from friends near and far. They celebrated their 1 month birthday with their friend Rrrroooofus.
One day, they even got dressed in their Christmas finest to go visit Santa Claus.
But they ended up not being very impressed by the jolly fellow - they didn't even think it was worth opening their eyes for.
They weren't very impressed with the feast Dad made for Christmas Eve.
Nor did they get excited for opening stockings on Christmas morning. But at least Mom & Dad had some fun with that!
Afterwards, Mom & Dad forced Max & Grace to pose for pictures by the tree. Grace had fun with it, but Max was a little confused about what he was supposed to be doing.
Mom & Dad have had a lot of fun getting to know Max & Grace in these first few weeks. And luckily, they've learned a thing or two about napping from them!

The Newly Parent Game - FINAL ROUND!
Just a reminder, we are running out of time to get gifts shipped to the shower for Saturday! Make sure to allow for shipping time.
And here we go, the final round!
The questions were:
Who is likely to change more diapers?
Who will be the first to cry when the babies are born?
What was the first thing each of you said when you heard that you'd be having twins?

The Newly-Parent Game
We are going to play a little game.
Everyone wins, because this one is just for fun!
This game may remind you of a game you have seen before.....
but it's slightly different...
Recently Liz and Chris were asked the same questions, pertaining to Chris. The questions they were asked were:
1. How much did Chris weigh at birth?
2. What city was Chris born in?
3. What was Chris' childhood nickname?
4. What was Chris' first word?
5. What was Chris' favorite childhood storybook?
Now... before you watch the videos, take a stab at what you think Chris will say about himself, what Liz will say about him, and... maybe you know that neither have the truth!
